Printer Buying Guide

Printer Buying Guide

Choosing a printer comes down to a few questions you need to ask yourself.

  • Will you be printing Color or just Black & White?
  • How often will you use the printer? (Ink dries faster than laser toner)
  • Will you need a scanner/copier or fax with the printer? (All-in-One)
  • Do you want to print from your iPhone or iPad? (Look for AirPrint™)

Below are our recommendations but it is up to you to decide which one will suit your needs.
Toner tends to be cheaper if you don’t need to print in color, therefore laser printers are the most economical.

There are dozens of new models of printers released every quarter so it is impossible to cover every brand and model but the printers below should meet the needs for the majority.

We have only chosen Brother printers in this instance as HP Printers have had issues after trying to introduce too many new features as of late.  Cannon and Epson are a few other OK brands.
